Patron:                  TAY Eng-Hseon, Clinical Associate Professor

 

A/Prof Tay Eng Hseon is the Chairman Medical Board of KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital and the President of the O&G Society of Singapore.

Obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees in Singapore, he went on to specialise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and acquired certifications in Australia and the United Kingdom.

He further obtained subspecialisation certification in Gynaecological Oncology from Royal Australia-New Zealand College of OBGYN and is currently the Chairman of the Gyanecological Oncology Section of the College of O&G of Singapore.

He has published chiefly in the areas of Gynaecological Oncology and has edited & co-authored a few books. His current research interests are on HPV vaccines, genomic studies of ovarian cancers and anti-angiogenic therapy for gynaecological cancers. He is an appointed member of the Singapore National Medical Research Council.

A/Prof Tay frequently gives lectures in regional countries and has organised many medical meetings and advanced gynaecological surgical courses.

Having served as chairman and advisor to many medical committees, he has been a member of various professional bodies. Recently, together with several colleagues in the region, they founded the Asia Oceania Organisation of Genital Tract Infection and Neoplasia in 2005.
